Kentucky Sheep and Fiber Festival Photography Contest

A photography contest open to anyone with a camera who enjoys taking pictures of sheep, goats, llamas, alpacas, rabbits… and the fiber they share with us. 

Classes

  • Portraits – sheep, goats and fiber animals, herding/guardian animals…
  • Products – yarn, fiber, spinning wheels…
  • Working – feeding, shearing, herding, showing…
  • Landscape - farm scenes including sheep, goats and other fiber animals.
  • Junior – the above classes, open to anyone 17 and under as of the date of the festival. 

Classes may be divided if the number of entries warrant.

Black and white or color photographs of any size - MUST be matted and shrink wrapped or covered with plastic.  May be framed, but not required.

Entry fee $3.00 per photograph.  Limit two entries per photographer per class.

Entries should be delivered by 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 14th and may be picked up between 4:00 and 6:00 Sunday, May 16th.  If you cannot register on site, you may mail your photographs, along with completed entry forms to Tonya Fedders 2055 Elliston Napolean Rd, Dry Ridge, KY 41035.  If photos cannot be picked up, appropriate return postage must be included with the entry.  Please include an email address where confirmation of delivery can be sent.  Entries must be received by May 8, 2010.   

Judging will take place as “People’s Choice” during the reception Friday evening. 

Ribbons and $10, $5, $3 for top three places in each class.  Prizes for grand and reserve champion sponsored by Tim and Sara Dunham, Equinox Farm.
