Handmade seamless socks are so cozy! Learn the basics of sock construction so you can have an endless supply for yourself! In this class, we will make a short version of a sock so we will have time to practice all the techniques involved in creating a pair. You will learn the parts of a sock, working cuff down in the round, turning the heel, working the gusset, shaping the toe, the kitchener stitch, and tips on sizing your socks. Experienced sock knitters will unlock the secrets (math) to sock construction so you can make any size sock in any yarn you want! Students need to bring: 1 ball of smooth worsted weight yarn in a solid or semi-solid color US size 9 (5.5mm): 2 sets of circular needles, any length (to work in the round on 2 circulars) or a set of interchangeable needles or one set of circular needles at least 32" long (for magic loop method) or a set of double pointed needles (only recommended if you have experience working with dpns) Basic stitching supplies: stitch markers, scissors, tapestry needle, etc. Required Skills: Knit, purl, basic increases and decreases $20 Non-refundable registration fee included in class cost.

Cancellation Policy
Each Workshop has a minimum and maximum number of students. If minimum is not reached two weeks before the scheduled event, the class is subject to cancellation and full price, including registration fee, will be refunded to the purchaser. Once maximum is reached, the class will be closed and a waiting list will be generated. Further instructions for the workshop will be emailed to each student prior to the class. Each class has a non-refundable $20 registration fee included in the cost. This fee can be transferred towards the cost of another class if purchaser cancels registration. Workshop Refund Policy – 75% refund minus $20 non-refundable registration fee 30+ days prior to the start of the festival workshops. 50% refund minus $20 non-refundable registration fee 14-29 days prior to the start of the festival workshops. No refunds within 13 days of event- except in cases of total event cancellation.
