Ready for a unique concept in Ecoprinting in color? Learn how to imprint beautiful Plant designs from Nature and create an artistic multi-colored and patterned background on silk and wool! Take your ecoprinting to another level of creativity using a variety of fun techniques taught by the instructor to mimic stained glass patterns or a kaleidoscope! Ecoprinting (also known as botanical printing) involves collecting leaves, plants and flowers to imprint their images directly upon fibers using the process you learn in the workshop. Students will learn techniques to enhance the natural plant designs and to create rich, muli-colored backgrounds on their silk and wool. At the end of the day, students will take home both a hemmed Habatoi silk and unhemmed organic merino wool scarf ecoprinted in multi-color and the knowledge to continue Ecoprinting from Nature's resources. Beginner friendly! Materials fee includes: 1 hemmed silk scarf and 1 organic merino wool scarf (unfinished edges), all equipment and disposables (turkey roasters, dowels, twine, baskets, scissors, paper towels, latex gloves, rubber bands, plastic) mordants, use of multiple pre-dyed color blankets, unique fabrics and templates to create a kaleidoscope of color in their Ecoprinting, information and summary sheets. Students should bring: •I gallon empty water jug to use as a weight. (can be filled at class) •Leaves from their area such as oak, maples, rose, hickory, sumac and interestingweeds. Fun additional plants (usually store bought) are live eucalyptus and flatflowers such as daises. No thick or woody plants or waxy leaves such as camellia ormagnolia. Leaves can be fresh, pressed or dry. Dry leaves need to be re-hydrated30 minutes prior to using them. •Notebook and pen (videos limited) •Apron This class is an all day, 6 hr class with an hour break for lunch. $20 Non-refundable registration fee included in class cost.

Cancellation Policy
Each Workshop has a minimum and maximum number of students. If minimum is not reached two weeks before the scheduled event, the class is subject to cancellation and full price, including registration fee, will be refunded to the purchaser. Once maximum is reached, the class will be closed and a waiting list will be generated. Further instructions for the workshop will be emailed to each student prior to the class. Each class has a non-refundable $20 registration fee included in the cost. This fee can be transferred towards the cost of another class if purchaser cancels registration. Workshop Refund Policy – 75% refund minus $20 non-refundable registration fee 30+ days prior to the start of the festival workshops. 50% refund minus $20 non-refundable registration fee 14-29 days prior to the start of the festival workshops. No refunds within 13 days of event- except in cases of total event cancellation.
